The Top Ten Bible Texts Showing That You Need To Accept Jesus Today
Procrastination in spiritual things is very, very costly. Many people put off accepting Jesus after they realize that He can save them. They, like Felix, look for a more convenient time. They realize that it will take sacrifice on their part not realizing the great sacrifice on Jesus’ part. To delay is risk losing out on salvation. Throughout the Bible we see that those who hesitate do so to their eternal loss. Here are the top ten Bible texts on accepting Jesus today.
(1) Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
(2) Ex 32:29 “For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.”
(3) Eccles. 12:1 “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.”
(4) Joel 3:14 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for theday of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.”
(5) 2 Sam. 19:34,35
“And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?
I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?”
(6) Matt. 4:18-22
Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee and called two pairs of brothers to follow Him.
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
And they [Peter and Andrew] straightway left their nets, and followed him….
And they [James and John] immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.”
(7) Acts 16:30-33
“And [the jailor] brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
… and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.”
(8) Acts 24:25 “And as he [Paul] reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.”
(9) 2 Cor. 6:2 “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
(10) Heb. 3:13,15
“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
“While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.”
