It is Time to Remember Jesus
Some time ago I started a Facebook “Remember Jesus” Fan Page. The purpose of this Fan Page is to help people to get to know Jesus and remember Him. See it here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Remember-Jesus/173811159326223
Do not forget to remember Jesus. We have treated God very badly. He came to this earth to die for us sinners so that we need not die eternally but live eternally. He even promised us a new Heaven and a new earth. Isa 49:16 says “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” Yet we forget God – we forget to pray and sing to His name’s honor and glory. We forget to study His Word and follow it. Do we put Him first in everything?
Isa 49:15 adds “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” Compare that with how we treat God. Jer 2:32 says “Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.”
Listen to what God has said about this throughout the Bible:
Jer.18:15 “Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity [idols], and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up.”
Eze. 22:12 “In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.”
Eze. 23:35 “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.”
Hosea 13:6 “According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.”
Rom. 1:28 “… they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”
Rom. 1:25 “[they] changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”
Many have forgotten God for so long that they even doubt that He exists. Psa. 14:1 says “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” No wonder God warned the youth saying in Eccles. 12:1 “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.”
Isa. 1:3 adds “The ox knoweth his owner, and the [donkey] his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.”
Let us in gratitude for all that Jesus has done for us and is continuing to do for us remember Jesus.
